Thrive Iowa connects Black Hawk and Tama families with help
A navigator can help eligible families connect the pieces. Here is where to start in both counties.

Finding help can mean figuring out which office to call first. Thrive Iowa offers eligible Black Hawk and Tama County families a navigator to help make those connections.
Iowa Health and Human Services lists both counties among the areas served. Navigators work with families on a plan and coordinate existing community resources, including housing, food, employment and childcare support.
The program serves Iowa parents and caretakers of a related minor, including custodial and noncustodial caregivers, and pregnant people. Participants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents with household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
People can refer themselves or someone else through https://app.hopehub.io/referrals, according to the HHS coordinator flyer.
The flyer lists Liz Crane at 319-292-2276 for Black Hawk County. For Tama County, it lists Araceli Roberts at araceli.roberts@micaonline.org.
Thrive connects families with resources; a referral does not guarantee a particular benefit or available service. More information is at https://hhs.iowa.gov/family-community/thrive-iowa.
