Plan to attend the 33rd Annual American Lutheran Church Pork Chop Dinner Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 14th from 4:30-7 pm. Choose to dine-in, drive-thru, or get delivery! The menu includes a grilled boneless pork chop, baked potato, corn, apple, veggies, roll/butter, and homemade dessert, all for just $15 per meal! Stop by (801 Monroe St., LPC) or call ahead (319) 342-2852 on event day.

Join us at the library for a night of scrapbook and card-making! The museum and library will have plenty available supplies we're donating, but also feel free to bring your own to make your creations extra special.

Epic Builds & Inventive Projects

We drop the beat, cut the track, and you’ve got one job: don’t choke. Whether you’re a shower‑singer, a jukebox hero, or someone who only knows the chorus, this game turns the whole room into a loud, chaotic, absolutely unhinged party. Bragging rights are on the line, and the crowd will absolutely roast you if you blow it.

Join us Monday mornings for an engaging and interactive story time for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. We'll have stories, songs, and more including fun with scarves, shakers, the parachute, finger plays, and bubbles. Afterward, stay and play in our children's area with toys, crafts, and building.

Join us at the library then we'll move down to Motorhead Mayhem as Corey will demonstrate basic car maintenance tips, like oil changes and tire pressure checks.

Create all-occasion greeting cards with supplies we provide including, colored cardstock, patterned paper, stickers, die cuts, and punches. 

Meeting takes place in the district office conference room, accessible via the UHS Activities Entrance.

Bring your textile handiwork and connect with others as you work on your current projects. Enjoy an afternoon of conversation while you knit, crochet or stitch.

Join us for a relaxing drop-in session where creativity meets community! Whether you’re working on a detailed coloring project or a personal craft, this is the perfect space to unwind and connect with others. No project? No problem! We provide high-quality supplies and intricate coloring pages to get you started. Enjoy a pressure-free, supportive environment where you can share advice, ask questions, and create at your own pace. All skill levels are welcome!

Vision Dysart hosts Dancin’ with the Witches on Dysart Main Street on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. A witchy dance performance is listed for 6:00 PM.

We're celebrating Halloween with our annual Halloween Party at the library! We're partnering with the Dysart Trunk-or-Treat and Dancin' with the Witches for a fun-filled fall event. Stop by and see us any time between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 22 for Halloween fun and games. *Rain date is Thursday, October 29.

MARK THOSE CALENDARS FOR THE UPCOMING  “GARRISONS HAUNTED” ….. KICKS OFF  ON OCTOBER 16-17, with a special opening.  OCTOBER 23-24 , 7:00-11:00 pm and OCTOBER 31 from 8-10 pm. Located on Main Street in Garrison, IA. Admission is $15.00. Children under 12, must be accompanied by an adult.  SPOOKTACULAR FUN!!!
